Next installment in our podcast series comes from KOZZMOZZ resident and TOKEN label boss KR!Z. Known for his hard edged and underground techno excursions this “COFFEE, DRUMS & CIGARETTES” podcast shows a different angle in his love for music. “I guess this must be the first time ever I record a podcast that doesn’t represent me as a techno-dj.
Basically this is the music I listen to daily, in a home/car/ipod.. setting, away from the club. I forgot a whole bunch of favourite tracks/styles. Wish I’d put in some soul/funk, drum & bass, dubstep, house, some more jazz (how could I forget Hancock, Mulatu or Sun Ra?), even more Dilla, more Madlib..
The mix is a bit rough around the edges & maybe a bit too long, but overall I’m pretty comfortable with sharing this with you.
Hope you’ll have as much fun listening to this as I had recording it.

If you are frowning your eyebrows when reading the name BUNZERO you deserve an ass whooping. This man is the foundation of the Belgian dubstep scene on his own. Spreading and promoting the sound from day one he is the true pioneer.
With his FOB show on Sub.fm and his worldwide dj sets he is still on top of the game today. Being a dj for more than 15 years he has been influenced by many styles and genres. For this mix BUNZERO dusted off his decks and his beloved vinyls and put together a great anthology of one of his first musical loves: the techno/electro(nica) scene of the early nineties. Second podcast in our serie comes from Bug Klinik head honcho X&TRICK. Or is it Knex, Enkidu, Red Eyes, Francis Fragile…? The man has many faces indeed for many musical intrests!
Between a dj set in Rome, moving houses and preparing his live set for the summer festivals, this musical chameleon found the time to digg in his vinyl collection and make this intresting podcast full of IDM and crazy electronica.
The selection is based on records from the period 1996 – 1998 so the cracks you’ll hear are proof that those records have been used for some time now

X&TRICK started hanging out in doggy “dance” temples like the Cherrymoon and La Bush at a young age but luckily he got into underground techno soon enough through the Gentle Generation parties in Roeselare.
From there on he started buying records and spinning himself as he wanted to be the new Dave Clark. His musical intrests broaden and his name was soon linked with IDM/acid/core/… Next step was founding the BUG KLINIK camp. Parties and releases soon followed in Belgium and yes, worldwide. He even got the title “Belgian Rave General” at the superb Bangface festival in the UK (everyone should witness this fest once!). As a promotor he is linked with the Bug Klinik, Dionysus, Rave Alert parties, the Clash Of The Cultures and Once Upon A Fest festivals and many more! As a producer he released several 12″ on several labels like on his own Bug Klinik label. As ENKIDU he just released a new digital EP (nice trancy IDM stuff!) but now he is mainly focussing on dubstep as KNEX and 1/2 of RED EYES. Some releases are coming your way soon, so watch out!
