We are very pleased to announce the next step in our existence, the start of the WARRIORZ RECORDS label.
The main purpose of WARRIORZ RECORDS will be to support existing Belgian talent and to discover new exciting producers. Musically it will be mostly dubstep, but crossovers with other genres won’t be avoided. The main focus is based on solid productions with respect for the basic elements of the genre.

The first release on the label, Blow Up and Spellbound, comes from the Antwerp duo SCIENCE.
With releases on Untitled, Stainage and Subway, SCIENCE are no newcomers. Tunes like Power Of Fear, Heal My Hurts and Motion Tween were picked up and rinsed out by major players in the dubstep scene.

Blow Up and Spellbound contain all the ingredients that makes a SCIENCE tune so recognizable: a crisp production, power, attention to melody and a small dose of melancholy that gives the tunes some more “realness”.
BLOW UP is one of those tunes that grabs you directly by the scruff, with a lot of roughness. With its distorted, industrial synthline built upon a hypnotic bassline, this tune takes you to the climax of the track, the second drop! Here you will almost experience the songtitle physically… Our advice…? Play it loud!
In SPELLBOUND everything revolves around the alliance between the synthline and the flute melody, a kind of unbreakable bond that seems fueled by the stabs and the dark bassline . The use of the flute melody makes Spellbound dark and ominous. This tune would certainly fit in the soundtrack of Hitchcock’s movie that goes by the same title!

To promote this release Tes La Rok is touring intensively. Next stop: Kortrijk!

In their dj sets they bring a combination of deep, dark vibes with more uplifting tunes and classics from the genre.

DREADLESS is an “ancien” from the Lille underground scene. Started as drum’n'bass and jungle dj his style evolved more to garage and dubstep in the recent years. The Gaslamp Killer is a Los Angeles-based DJ whose electric style ranges from psychedelia and world music to dubstep and left-field hip-hop. He has received global acclaim for his magnificent turntable skills and larger-than-life … (more) stage presence. Associated with Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Records, he made his production debut in the late 2000s with a series of EPs.

Born William Benjamin Bensussen, he originally comes from San Diego, CA, whose downtown Gaslamp District’s bar scene inspired him to name himself the Gaslamp Killer in disgust for much of the patronage.Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he found a niche for himself amid the city’s massive underground party scene and ultimately found a home for himself as a resident DJ at the club Low End Theory, which resulted in a series of club-sponsored podcasts.

He also released a series of mix CDs, among them Gaslamp Killers (2003), It’s a Rocky Road (2007), I Spit on Your Grave (2008), Hell and the Lake of Fire Are Waiting for You! (2009), and All Killer (2009), the latter a label showcase for the London-based world psychedelia imprint Finders Keepers Records. As a producer, the Gaslamp Killer made his debut in the late 2000s, releasing a split EP with Free the Robots, “The Killer Robots,” on Obey Records in 2008 and two EPs for Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Records, My Troubled Mind in 2009 and The Death Gate in 2010. He also produced Gonja Sufi’s debut album “A Sufi And A killer” on Warp in 2010.

Chris Alfaro is Free the Robots.
