Dj Mikis

At a young age, Mikis started to listen to a wild bunch of styles. His early tapes were filled with rock, breakbeat and various electronic music.
Working weekends in a vinyl record store made him discover techno at the age of 17.
At that time, techno got big in Belgium.Little later he hit his first decks.
After moving to Ghent at the age of 18, Mikis discovered a lot of new stuff. He was stuned when he first heard drum’n'bass on a dancefloor.
He left techno behind and started visiting new record stores. Labels as Metalheadz and Reinforced introduced him into it. Meanwhile Mikis got involved in a small, but very inspired club called La Gare, where he promoted his first parties and concerts. Together with dj Fudge, he started Isocteur. They spend four wild years throwing parties over Ghent (Decadance, Paradox,…) and Lauwe. Their collaboration was put on hold when he left for his studies in Spain. There he got a residency at the Arrebato club in Bilbao. When he got back after a year, Goony, Fudge and him got together to join forces and to start a new crew: Warriorz. Mikis spins lots of different stuff, but dnb gets his biggest attention. He likes to variate between the harder and the smoother, insuring coherent quality vibes on the dancefloor. You might also find the guy behind another alias: Mikistan. A cross-over concept combining sillyness and filthy dancefloor material.
